Saril May, 11 Qualified to this year’s National TOPS Team. The National Testing was held in Houston, Texas at the Women’s National Team Training Center located at the Bela Karolyi’s Gymnastics Camp on October 3 - 5, 2008. Saril has participate in the TOPS program since the age of 7 and this is her third year as a National TOPS team member, which qualifies her and her coach to attend the National TOPs Training Camp.
TOPs is a Talent Opportunity Program for female gymnasts ages 7-11 and their coaches. During the summer, gymnasts are evaluated on their physical abilities at the state or regional level. From more than 3000 participants, 300 gymnasts qualify to participate in the National TOPs Testing. From here approximately 60 gymnasts will make up the National TOPs Team. |
